Abstract

In this paper we propose to assess the relationship between truth and politics in two different stages in Michel Foucault’s  theoretical production. We aim to show the political connotation that presents the change in the concept of truth between his  works related to power and knowledge and those studies that he carried out about the Subject question. We have particularly  examined two works: the conferences offered by Foucault in Rio de Janeiro in 1973, entitled Truth and Judicial Forms, and also,  the course given in 1984 at the Collège de France, recently published under the title The Courage of Truth.
