Abstract
This work systematizes concepts and theories about pseudoscience and antiscience. The relationships between anti-science movements and conspiracy theories are also reviewed. In times of pandemy and quarantine, in which discussions about vaccines and public health in general prevail, reflection on why we easily believe in statements contrary to science or reason may have some interest or, at least, be relevant.
